Our wines are expressions of one wonderful variety, Pinot Noir, and one special site, the Kobus Vineyard in the Russian River Valley.

  • 2021 Kobus Blanc

Whole Pinot Noir clusters were gently pressed to yield juice that was free of influence from skin contact and fermented in neutral french oak. The color features a brilliant silver with green streaks that signal a fresh and lively wine. Aromas of citrus zest and tangy plum continue on the palate with white floral notes of jasmine and acacia. Extremely refreshing with a laser like focus and cut. The finish echoes the citrus with a bright minerality. Somm Alert: Great wine with oysters!

“This is by far the most fun wine we have in the cellar. I have had to reprimand the team for drinking it out of the tank.”

    - Reed Skupny, Winemaker

  • 2021 Kobus Rosé

A whole-cluster pressed Rose that features a vibrant red plum color with aromas of fresh strawberry and Bing cherry. The texture and mouthfeel are surprisingly rich and complex with flavors of strawberry compote, rhubarb pie, rosehips, and clove. Perfect with smoked salmon.

  • 2021 Kobus Pinot Noir - Kobus Vineyard "Black Label"

Estate fruit was harvested on two dates, August 26th and September 4th which allowed the winemaking team to play with differently nuanced, 100% native, low temperature ferments. The resulting wine is a classic Russian River style with elegant black cherry and red plum fruit. Velvety textured and impeccably balanced with perfumed notes of rose petal and oolong tea. The finish is accented with cardamom and orange peel. The wine is light and lifting while being commanding at the same time. Elegance is the calling card here.
